Is it worthwhile to apply for a DTV visa to work remotely in Thailand despite recent rejections?

I have a question, many people have been talking that Thailand has been rejecting DTV applications. I really want to go and work remotely over there but that would mean I would have to quit this good paying job here in the states. Is it even worth it to give it a try?

It's a risk, you can lose $400+ and they don't give you any reason

I see. When applying and putting your arrival date, does it matter if you arrive later or sooner than what you put on the application?

I can find a remote job that would let me work overseas but it pays less. Do immigration officers check with your employers and see if you actually have a remote job?

I came here to work remotely because I have a remote job, not the other way around.

did your employer have to give you permission to work in Thailand?

Yes. That's one of the requirements of the Embassy to issue the visa. They demand a letter of the employer stating you can work in Thailand.

You need to have a remote job before you even apply for the visa.
