Is it true that when applying for DTV as a Brit you only need to have had the 500k+ THB in your account for 1 month? And also to confirm I MUST 100% apply from my home country now, not a border run etc?

Thanks
Answer summary
Yes, as a British citizen applying for a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa), you only need to have 500,000 THB in your bank account for one month. It is also confirmed that you must apply from your home country and cannot simply perform a border run to obtain this visa. Additionally, the discussions highlight the complexities of the 90-day reporting system, mentioning that each re-entry to Thailand may require in-person reporting depending on the local immigration officer's advice.

Does every time when you re-enter the country count as “first” time? Meaning you have to do it in person AGAIN?

I was assuming/hoping the 1st time in person would be the final visit. Going to CW every time I leave the country is just ridiculous 🤦🏼‍♂️

have a chat with your immigration officer….. let them know that you are going to be in and out of Thailand … and find out if you actually have to go in person…..

when I did my first EoS I asked if I had to go in person for the 1st 90 day report …. He looked at me and said … nar… do it online … it will be ok … and it was …. Pays to ask ….

In the past the first time meant first time and I was able to do it online for a few years despite several trips abroad. However, annoyingly this seems to have changed and first time is now after every entry into Thailand.

Correct. It is reset the clock back to 0 when you entered but I understand system sometimes not working and you can do online but first time offline

The Immigration and TM47 systems are not integrated.

Even if you submitted when you got the email reminder, they'd probably reject it and tell you why.

When you return, you may have to do the next one in person, at least that's how it works here in Chiang Mai.

Your understanding is correct. Your next 90-day count starts when you enter Thailand again with the arrival date as Day #1.

Sadly, 90-day reporting system is not completely connected to your record of entering/leaving Thailand. It just sends reminder based on your last report. You can just ignore the reminder if you leave/enter Thailand after your last report.
