TLDR : Answer Summary
The consensus among community members is that using multiple visa exemptions (60-day exemption plus extensions and a visa run) before applying for a DTV generally does not pose a problem, provided there is no extensive visa history in Thailand. Individual experiences suggest that while past visa usage is considered, it is unlikely to adversely affect a DTV application.

I think your age is a factor because if your like me under 50 your visa choices are limited and very strict. I did the Master Chef diploma in Thai culinary arts and the process for applying for the DTV is simple. There is a check list on the embassy website. Mines was granted within 24 hours from London.

Generally speaking, no problem at all as long as you don’t have long history in Thailand.

Visa exempt entries will depend on your history in Thailand, but they won't affect a DTV application
