Hello, do you need a Agency for the Process or How are your experience to make it by yourself? Is it complicated or easy ?
Answer summary
The conversation discusses experiences with applying for Thai visas either independently or through an agency. Many users find the process manageable on their own with the right resources, such as the official Thai visa website. However, some recommend using an agency for ease and to avoid potential mistakes. The costs associated with both methods vary, with agency fees mentioned around 5000 baht. Users also discuss the importance of document organization, suggesting one PDF may be preferable for clarity.

but 30,000 should be the price with a 6 month soft power school included. So that's normal regardless if it's an agent or not. The actual agent fee alone is about 5000 baht when I did it a year ago. If you are looking for the best priced agent try Issa Compass. Highly recommended

Just to process the visa that price is outrageous. I took a 6 month muay Thai class.. it was recommended this way by my agent because I'm a male and former military. I paid 35,000 total. (When you get to he embassy you have to pay the Thai embassy an additional 10,000 baht. But that's standard for everyone.

There is only 1 website to use, it even has a user guide which some people read before applying, others just use Facebook.

It's very easy. The sticking point for some seems to be combining all of your documents into one PDF, but a quick Google should get you to a website that can do it. You create your account for the application and then it tells you everything you need to do. Follow the bouncing ball.

Just double or triple check everything before you upload it, unlike me who at 41 and has several degrees, misspelled my last name and had to resubmit 😂

is it really best to have one PDF, or just 2-3 separated by category?

thanks, Chris. I'm just a bag of nerves about my application, largely due to the posts on here.

For every person saying it's easy to apply yourself there are two more saying they got rejected for no apparent reason.

I found a good soft power plan but the agent wants 10k for doing virtually nothing, and that I'm sure I can do myself.

But is 10k a small price to pay if they have an edge? They can't demonstrate that they do have an edge, other than promising me they do. That will butter no parsnips with the embassy, I'm sure.

So if there is only one document allowed for uploading, that'll answer my question.

I'm just trying to put myself in the mind of the IO assessor and imagine whether it's better for them to check one clearly labelled PDF, or several.

Thanks for your counsel.

Anonymous I have seen people comment there is only one field to add a single pdf, but I can't remember what it was for my application. I think it's more applicable to the freelancers with their own business as they have to upload more documents
