Hello I made a request for a bank statement online on my kasikorn app, they sent me my statement by email, however to open the PDF I have to enter the password which is my complete date of birth in numbers. When I make the request do I have to send the PDF or are PNG screenshots accepted? I plan to apply in Hanoi. Thx

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user sought advice on whether to submit a password-protected PDF of their bank statement or if PNG screenshots would be accepted for their visa application in Hanoi. Commenters suggested various solutions including unlocking the PDF, printing it to a new PDF, and the implications of using screenshots versus the original file.

What site address are you using for submission to Hanoi embassy?

The pdf from a bank is usually digitally signed. It proves its integrity and authenticity. If you make a picture or print it to another pdf you lose it.

So professionally it would be best to provide them the password - which actually isn't secret in this case. If you choose another way - it's up to them if they accept it or not.

I used a tool to unlock the PDF so now the file opens without a password, thank you.

Try opening the PDF and putting your password in, then print it and select print to PDF. That should give a PDF without the need for a password.
