DTV via London Embassy - mixed bank statements
Hi all, just looking for any experience with the London embassy.
I opened a new account specifically for the DTV and deposited £12k in from non-liquid investments. There is no other activity on the account. I didn't want to accidentally dip below this amount, hence why I ringfenced it. This was around 2 months ago, so I only have two months worth of statements. I'd be able to provide 3 months worth of statements for other accounts, albeit below the required amount. Does anyone know if this (statements from multiple accounts) is acceptable?
I emailed the London Embassy about financial requirements and this is what they said:
Please be informed that the UK/Irish bank statements are preferred and will be considered as primary financial evidence. DTV applicants are required to submit their personal bank statement, showing their name, address, a minimum closing balance as required by the visa they are applying for, and income for the last three months (if any). The required amount of the closing balance must held for at least 10 days prior to the submission of the DTV application until the visa decision is made. In some cases, bank statements may be requested to bear an authorised stamps or be printed out from a bank branch. Unfortunately, any investment-related accounts cannot be accepted.
So only 10 days worth of seasoning is easily met, but doesn't really provide clarity on mixed bank statements.
Any advice greatly appreciated! Cheers!
