DTV via Munich — can proof of source substitute for the 3-month bank statement rule?
Hi everyone,
Applying for the DTV (Workcation) through Munich. The general info page doesn't mention a specific timeframe, but the actual application portal does ask for the "last 3 months" of bank statements as financial evidence.
My problem: I have well above the required 500,000 THB in my account, but the money has only been there for about 3 weeks. Reason: I cashed out a life insurance policy, and I have the official letter from the insurance company confirming it's a legitimate payout, not borrowed money.
Question: has anyone had a similar situation, where you didn't have 3 months of history but could prove the source of funds some other way (like an official letter)? Does that work in practice, or do they strictly enforce the 3 months regardless of explanation? Specifically interested in experience with Munich, can't get through to them by phone.
Thanks for any real experience!
