I’m about to apply for the DTV visa here in Taipei, and for the “Document indicating current location” section, would it be acceptable to submit a photo of my Taiwan entry stamp in my passport along with a screenshot of my hotel reservation? I’ve heard that an official document from the immigration office might be required, but I’m wondering what the actual practice is.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is inquiring about the documents needed for the DTV visa application in Taipei, specifically asking if a photo of the Taiwan entry stamp and a hotel reservation screenshot are acceptable. Comments indicate mixed experiences: one user successfully used the entry stamp and hotel reservation, while another emphasized the necessity of obtaining a certificate from the immigration office for the application.

I applied in Taipei and it's mandatory to go to the immigration office (If u are in Taipei Town it's around Xiao Nan Men) and with 100nt$ they'll give u a certificate

ah. I applied in dec when the immigration form wasnt needed. Honestly, I found taipei a really difficult place to apply. They asked a lot of questions like why did i apply there (dependant) when my husband got his dtv in hanoi (so much easier, but we were holidaying in taiwan so I applied there). They wanted to call the hanoi embassy to ask etc

Anonymous participant 667They are known to be a bit difficult but as long as you have the paperwork they want they are ok..

You also need the immigration form of entry and exit. When I applied in Dec, it was not needed but from Jan it is a requirement.
