Is a one-way flight acceptable for entering Thailand on an educational (ED) visa?

Hi all,

For the 1year ED visa (multiple entry), I assume a one-way flight is fine into Thailand? I have heard reports of issues at BKK with people not having return flights for their tourist visa. Assuming this is not an issue for the ED visa. And for single-entry ED visa's... same or different?

Thanks for any info.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring whether it is acceptable to have a one-way flight when entering Thailand with a one-year educational (ED) visa, specifically concerning multiple entry visas. They have heard that travelers with tourist visas can face issues at Bangkok airport (BKK) when not possessing return flights and are curious if the same rule applies to educational visas, including single-entry ones.
