Hi there wanna share my story maybe you can use it, Im from a scandinavian country the whole process took 2 working days no problems. I was in contact with 5-6 Muay Thai gyms almost all of them had 6 months program and even 9 months and you can wonder why :) Only one gym that i find Tiger Eye had 1 month program. I was reading here on the forum that 3 month or even 6 months was mandatory so i grabbed my phone and called the embassy who clearly stated : 1 MONTH IS ENOUGH they fully understand that maybe you want to travel around or you dont like the gym etc.. Next when you upload your financial docs there is only room for 1 file i had mine on several accounts next day email from embassy and you can upload more ... The whole process seem like a financial screening who are you where do you work what is your income etc.. not so much about cooking class or Muay thai and the duration Thats it hope you can use it .

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Scandinavian expat shares their experience with obtaining a DTV visa, noting that the process took only two days and that a one-month program was sufficient according to their embassy, which contradicted the common belief that a six-month course is mandatory. They contacted several Muay Thai gyms, where only one offered a one-month program. The discussion continues in the comments, with other users sharing similar experiences and mentioning that some US embassies are now requiring longer duration courses.
Thank you whoever you are for posting this. We technically discontinued the one month package at Tiger Eye because there was so much fear mongering online that a 6 month or longer is mandatory. THis was never our experience and the one month invited skepticism too much that I figured it better to just remove it, though we will offer it if someone asks.
That being said, I can say that some embassies are now requesting longer courses. For example in the USA a one month package was always ok, but now people are sometimes being asked for 6 month or longer packages. Those being served by the CHicago consulate for example are required that it be LONGER than 6 months. I have seen multiple people get that request.
Hi, can you direct message me. Because this DTV confuses the heck out of me. Because just like you seems like 10 out of 10 Muay Thai facilities that I see are demanding 6 months.
