Has anybody done a passport renewal since securing DTV?

I received my DTV stamp a few months ago, but I have about 3 pages left in my passport.

If I get a new passport, is the dtv stamp in the old one still valid?

From now on you will have to carry both passports for the rest of the validity of the visa.

It would have beean easier to get new passport first and then apply for visa.

If it is an actual stamp in passport can you not have it transferred to the new passport. This is the case with others like O and B. At Chiang Mai Immigration they have a window just for these transfers.
