TLDR : Answer Summary
When traveling to Thailand, it is generally advised to bring a maximum of a 30-day supply of prescription medication, kept in original packaging and accompanied by a doctor's note. However, some travelers have reported success in bringing larger quantities without issues. Narcotic and controlled substances may need a Thai FDA permit for larger supplies (up to 90 days). It's recommended to verify with the Thai FDA for any specific requirements regarding the medications you are bringing.

I bring in six months worth at a time with no issues but I do have a letter from my doctor in Aust. as a precaution but never had to show it.

Some say as much as you want. But that's OK until you get caught. Remember bags can be scanned on arrival.

I require medication that in the UK tha requires a prescription but I buy over the counter here.

This is the official version.

You can bring medication into Thailand for personal use, typically up to a 30-day supply for most drugs, kept in original packaging with a doctor's prescription/note, but controlled/narcotic substances (Schedules II/III) require a Thai FDA permit and can be up to a 90-day supply, so always check the Thai FDA website for specific lists and apply online weeks ahead for controlled items to avoid issues.

Generally 30 days is the limit for prescription drugs, but its seldom checked, keep everything in its original packaging and if you have a doctor note better still.

As much as you need. I take loads customs don't even look at what you have both sides of the fence..if you run out you can just go to the chemist. You can buy inhalers sleeping tablets. Or what ever you need. Just get a copy of your medication. Amen.
