Hi Guys. I arrived in Bangkok on the 8th February and received 30 day visa exempt stamp. I wish to extend this, Iโ€™m wondering how many days before it runs out I can apply for the extension please. It is due to run out on the 8th March.

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can apply for an extension of stay at the Bangkok immigration office when you have 45 days or less remaining on your current visa exempt stamp. It's advisable to apply as soon as possible, even if you just arrived, because the extension will add 30 days to your current expiration date.

in bangkok you can apply for an extension of stay when you have 45 days or less left on your current stamp <- meaning IF you entered on a 30 day visa exempt entry you could have went right from the airport to the immigration office and applied for the extension.

There is no reason to wait until this stamp runs out because they ADD the 30 days to your current expiration date.

I kind of have the same questions ... I arrive in Bangkok on Wednesday. When I arrive in the airport and they give me the 30 day visa exempt stamp, what is the proccess for applying for the extension at that point? Am i able to do that while still in the airport?
