2. 26th - request for additional documents (I submitted a professional passport photo, they wanted one taken on my phone (weird). Alongside another letter from my employer, the first letter noted I can "work from Asia" I asked my employer to rewrite adding in specifically "Work remotely from Thailand, and will not conduct any business in Thailand"
3. Submitted additional documents Saturday 28th.
4. Status changed to pending approval Monday 30th.
5. Visa received 1st July (8:30PM)
I submitted only what they asked for. Nothing additional such as a cover letter. They didn't ask to see more than the one month bank statement I provided (albeit I would have happily supplied them).
Over the moon, I fly Friday :D

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared their successful experience obtaining a DTV Workcation visa via the London Embassy. They outlined a step-by-step timeline from application submission to receiving the visa, noting the request for additional documents and emphasizing the importance of providing only what was asked. They received their visa on July 1st and shared helpful tips for others, including printing the visa email for proof during travel.
This is the perfect post! Sincerely appreciate your category of DTV you applied to and the embassy being included in your post! Those two answers are the most left off pieces of info on everyoneβs post!

I also think sending more than what is asked for is not always better. Your application shows sending just what is asked can be processed fast and easy.

Thank You for your helpful report π
Congratulations πππ
PRINT OUT THE EMAIL THAT HAS YOUR DTV VISA.
That's what you should do... print it out.
You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight βοΈ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.
Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.
