TLDR : Answer Summary
The process for obtaining a Thai work visa at the embassy in Laos typically takes about 48 hours, but this can vary based on location and specific requirements. It's important to make an appointment before going to the embassy, especially in Vientiane, which can be crowded. Check the embassy website for detailed requirements and procedures.

I have an appointment for Monday morning, at Vientiane, just wondering when will my visa be finalised so I can make arrangements coming back.

I recently did it in Vientiane... I arrived at 9am on a Tuesday, and collected it on Thursday. I was advised that 48 hours is the standard. As mentioned, you'll need an appointment (easy to do online - and you WONT be allowed in without one), and you'll need all the paperwork from your employer

The website would have the requirements and how long it will take. Also if you're going to Vientiane you'll need an appointment.

Your job should know about this if they're sending you to get your visa.
