How easy is it to get a 30-day extension on a 45-day visa exempt in Krabi?

Success. We went to Krabi immigration office yesterday for a 30 day extension on our 45 day visa exempt. It only took 15 minutes! They wanted proof, and the address, of where we are currently staying so I showed them a picture from my phone of our booking from the hotel files and a business card. That plus passport, 1900 baht each and an extra 100 for a photo they took. It took longer to exchange 100 Canadian at the bank. Thank you everyone who gave me advice.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user successfully extended their 45-day visa exempt for an additional 30 days at the Krabi immigration office in just 15 minutes. They provided a picture as proof of their accommodation and had to pay a total of 1900 baht plus an additional 100 baht for a photo. The process was swift and efficient, with positive feedback from the community about the service.

My hotel had been told that the TM30 is no longer needed since Covid. They called the immigration office to confirm this but I took a photo of our booking just in case. The hotel also gave a business card and said if there's any problems get immigration to call.

for future reference, ask your hotel for a copy of your TM30. This is a document showing proof of where you’re staying, that’s normally required. If you just showed a hotel booking to say, the Phuket office or pretty much any other immigration office, they wouldn’t accept it.

Can't see a ,see more.

You said you were charge 1900 baht for the extension and a extra 100 baht for a photo. Do you mean for the extension? If so I have never heard of being charged extra for a photo , shouldn't it be part of the extension cost ? Or do you mean you had to pay an extra 100 baht to get a photo taken for you to provide with the application ?

most offices require you to bring a passport sized photo as part of your application and if you don't have it they send you away to obtain it. I guess in Krabi they'll take one for 100₿ as a service rather than send you away.
