Hi Y'all ... chicken before the egg question:
My kids will be staying under ED Visa's and we will be taking up guardian ED Visa. Question is .... in order to get the ED Visa sorted we require a bank letter confirming your THB 500,000 deposit that was paid into a Thai account. My understanding is you can't open a Thai Bank account without the Visa, but you need the funds in the account to get the Visa?
Thoughts? Experiences?
Also does anyone have experience with this type of Visa etc and getting it sorted from Australia?
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on the process of obtaining a guardian ED Visa for their children in Thailand, specifically regarding the requirement to have THB 500,000 deposited in a Thai bank account. They are facing confusion over whether they can open a Thai bank account without the visa needed to get the funds deposited first, and are looking for advice or shared experiences on navigating this process from Australia.
