Has anyone used VFS Global to renew their UK passport. Mine is overdue and I cannot find a phone number anywhere for them.

VFS are a nightmare ,embassies have off loaded their work load to this agency ,I had pure stress nightmares dealing with my indonesian ex gf visa for Japan with VFS in Jakarta 🙏🏽

tbf the government off loaded the work to private agencies (VFS) in the same way they did with most government functions.

Allows the politicians to off load most responsibilities and accountability. And creates more profitable jobs in consultancy 'cost centres' for them.

The actual embassy staff are as disillusioned as you are.

yes mate ,I'm not blaming embassy staff,I lived in Cambodia for 14 yrs and held a UK embassy position there ,it's VFS staff that awful ,but Jakarta has to be the worse as everything in Indonesia is awfully organised and executed ,it would be better with Thai staff 🙏🏽

I will never use VFS having used them in both Abu Dhabi and Bahrain to get my wife a UK visa. Horrible service and treated us very badly. If you need a UK passport renewed do it on the UK. The Peterborough office was very good. Trying the post office this year.

The service was so much better when the embassy handled this.

On the paperwork VFS gave you is your reference number and the phone number of the UK passport office. Maybe give them a call to see where your passport is.

Sorry guys. I should have said the return of my passport is overdue. It was sent to UK on 7 Feb and arrived 10 Feb. 4 weeks turnaround quoted. Heard nothing.

worth calling UK passport office accounts dept. I had a delay on my recent passport renewal and no notification so called their accounts and my credit card payment had been declined. They sent me a link to make payment and my passport was back with me in Thailand within a week. +44 300

if you look at your card account online you should be able to see if it was charged or not

the next thing I got after that was a confirmation of receipt of application via email only 2 days after my card was charged. Then a further 2 days i was notified of approval texted to my UK mobile (I provided both UK and Thai numbers) and also sent to my email address

check your spam folder. I recently renewed mine and had regular updates throughout the process. Sent to UK by VFS on 4th Feb and back with VFS on the 20th Feb.
