Dear thai visa team,

I have a german passport, living in moçambique,i arrived from maputo via nairobi with kenya airways on the 13.02.and received a 30 day visa on arrival which i extended for another 30 days until 12.04.with the immigration office in pattaya,my return flight scheduled for the 25.03.got cancelled yesterday and kenya airways will not resume operations to thailand until at least the 30.04.

What can i do now to get another 30 days extension??

Border run maybe, but there are rumors, that also the borders might close?!

Any given advice would be highly appreciated.

Best regards

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user with a German passport currently in Thailand seeks advice on how to extend their 30-day visa, which they already extended once, after their return flight was cancelled. The comments suggest a border run as a potential solution, despite concerns about possible border closures. It's advised to check with immigration or obtain written confirmation of flight cancellations from the airline.

I do read, I also see airplanes leaving from Bangkok airport, i see air planes landing all over the world, but only in the last hour, I did read three times they can not fly to the country of choice.

i like to keep this to Thai visa advice, please do the same.

Stop playing games and think that the Thai Immigration must start to give Extension of Stay for you. I wish you a safe flight.

Go back home. Flights are available.

Get a written confirmation from the airline that the flights are cancelled, german embassy is closed now, but may be open until you need it, they could give you a confirmation too. And go to the immigration asap to find out how they react.

I did this. They won’t do anything. They’ll tell you to call your embassy and that is all. Only a few embassies are currently giving out letters and Germany is not one of them.

You can't, if you're holding a german passport. Bounce out at the nearest border, and return. I recommend the Kanchanburi/ Htee Kee border since they won't let you bounce out unless they will let you return.

I was in the same situation. Border run 100%. Quick border run to Myanmar. If you’re nervous use a visa run service and you’ll be in and out quick. Google visa run from Phuket to Ranong
