Hello, I tried to find an answer. But I can’t seem to get it right. Internet says yes, immigration office says no (through phone call). So I am not sure if this is correct.
I arrived on a visa exemption stamp 60 days. Am I able to extend this based on visiting Thai family with an extra 60 days? I just want to verify.
Thank you in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring whether they can extend their 60-day visa exemption stamp by an additional 60 days to visit Thai family, as they are receiving conflicting information from internet sources and the immigration office. Comments suggest that it might be possible, but it varies by immigration office, with some requiring a 30-day tourism extension first before allowing the family visit extension. There is also a note that some offices do not allow this extension on a visa exemption stamp at all.

did you go ask your immigration office if you could get the 60 day visit family extension on a free stamp visa exempt entry? Just curious what they said
You should be able to. But some offices require you to apply for a 30-day tourism extension first before letting you apply for a 60-day visit family extension. Check with your local immigration office again for their policy.
