How can I avoid using plastic bags when buying bread in Thailand?

Just bought 70 paper bags for bread ๐Ÿž. Take them with me when I come back in November.

I got tired of seeing every croissant disappearing in a small plastic bag.

With some good balanced organisation in using them, and some recycling. It must be enough for 6 months of 'plastic bag free croissants'.

We all have our ways, values, and beliefs.

Why not just buy a roll of butcher paper, and cut squares to wrap your purchases with? The machines, and energy to cut those, the glue manufactured to make them bags, and the ink used to make them pretty seem to defeat the purpose.

Plain butcher paper. Cut squares to take shopping with you. Wrap your purchases to bring home.

I was making my own bread but next time I will bring some whole meal flour with me. Can buy in Makro but it's not quite milled the same but it does work. Topps sell small bags of flour from Australia but it's expensive. Must be able to buy 10kg bags at a reasonable price.

Virtue well and truly signalled. All you need now is another "booster-jab" and you'll be remembered as a martyr... (probably sooner than you think). lol

How many trees needed to die for your paperbags and how many litres of water got polluted with toxic chemicals from the bleeching and printing?

All of that to consume some empty carbohydrates which make you diabetic and gluten intolerant without providing any proper nutrients? The illusion of doing something good....

Opinionated is OK, but ya done have to push it down others' throats. My guess he just likes fresher bread products, not damp limp ones in bags made from processed carbon and never disintegrate ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Do you know how many bottle nose dolphins die a year from plastic bags getting stuck in their blowholes? Yeah, I don't either.

do you know how many monkeys I need to jerk off to get a bag like that? Also, do you know a good location for interacting with monkeys?

I never got bakery in plastic bags here. Always rapped or put in a paper bag. Then they put it in plastic bags, where I always just say โ€žno bagโ€œ. Where do you buy your bakery

Most of the bakeries I go to do not use plastic bags. Maybe just visit those that don't and avoid those that do.
