TLDR : Answer Summary
Residents in Bangkok can recycle plastics and beer bottles by checking out local initiatives like Trash Lucky, which offers collection services. Alternatively, it is suggested to give recyclables to housekeepers or staff, or leave them in bags on streets where they can be quickly collected by others. Notably, both IKEA locations in the city provide recycling bins for batteries and electronics, ensuring that recyclable materials are not wasted.

There are three very active recycling activities going on, that never miss any recyclable worth money, any amount of money. There are poor people looking for anything before the garbage men get there. Then there are the garbage men themselves, that greatly suppliment their income separating the good recyclables, then there are the people at the collection point and the dump looking for items the garbage men missed. Do not worry about your recyclables simply ending up in a landfill dump. Anything, and I mean anything, of recyclable value will be recycled. What you are doing by separating it is making it easier for those that do it for a living, at all stages.

When i lived in Phuket sure someone was watching, i used to put out big bags and already cleaned and sorted. Our driveway was about 100 m usually by time i got to gate someone was there

This!

And not only that. The "official" refuge collectors sift through everything and puts recyclable items to one side. It's a rather fascinating thing to see (although, the adjacent air is not always, erm, fresh.)

Give it housekeeper or staff. To you its stuff, to them treasure
