Just wanted voice my appreciation for this group and how helpful it is. Managed to open a bank account with my Non-O Visa. All the info on here has been invaluable, only got one knock back for a ridiculous reason, ie middle initial on my driver license wasn’t acceptable. Next bank, no problem. Shout out to Brandon Thurkettle for answering mine and a lot of newbie questions. For anyone in BKK in the same situation. Go to main Bangkok Bank at Emporium on Sukhumvit. Not sure if it will help, but I went on Sunday at 1pm, and I was the only customer. Best of luck to y’all

Very nice to hear. 😃

Great to hear, as some have reported issues in getting the bank account recently. Maybe the old advice of sticking to banks in the big malls is still applicable.
