My took 4 weeks for the Federal. I did 6 copy I assumed we would need more than 1 in Thailand.

Yes the Thai embassy in Los Angeles requires county,state and federal authentication of your marriage certificate from California. The feds are taking 10-13 or more weeks to authenticate. I’m still waiting from the feds since

Not sure. I’m doing it for registration of my marriage in Thailand to get the kor ror 22. I assume it’s part of the application process or at least the extension.

It is not always certain, it depends on how many people have applied at that time because it has to be followed in queue.
