In most countries passport is enough, telling the address is enough, phone number is enough, another personal ID is enough.

But NOT in Thailand! They love papers and red tape.

And they can stick it somewhere ...

I agree here, don't understand why you would want a agent.

They're all pretty simple to get a bank account with.

Bangkok Bank loves to spin the "you need to pay for insurance few thousand baht"
