Good afternoon everyone, I have an 8 month old daughter and her visa expires one month before my, when I was to renew her. The immigration official said that I could wait with her visa expired for a month until mine was renewed. So i went to renew and everything went fine, but they did not renew with our date mathup, causing next year to go through this again, does anyone know if it is illegal for my daughter to spend this month with the visa expired? And what could I be doing?
Thanks
Gui
TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses concerns about an 8-month-old's visa status in Thailand after it expired a month before the parent's renewal. The immigration official had indicated it was acceptable to wait after expiration. Other comments suggest that while the baby technically overstayed, children are usually not fined for such issues. There seems to be confusion regarding the matching of visa expiration dates for both parent and child.
