Hi! Quick question about the Thailand DTV visa.

Do you need to be remotely employed or own an established company to qualify?

I’m self-employed in Spain and I own a small clothing brand that’s just starting, but I don’t really have big revenue or long-term clients yet.

Would that normally be enough for the DTV, or do they expect a remote work contract or bigger business?

Thanks :)
Answer summary
The Thailand DTV visa (Digital nomad visa) may have flexible requirements for qualification. It's possible to qualify as a self-employed individual, especially if you have your business paperwork in order and meet the financial requirement of having 500,000 Baht in your bank account. While being remotely employed or owning a larger established business can help, showing that you can support yourself during the initial stages of your business is crucial. If your income is low but you have sufficient savings, there may still be a pathway to qualify.

If you don't qualify with your work just apply via soft power. You're still allowed to work remotely 👍

You could qualify if you have all of your company paperwork together and the 500k Baht. The main thing is showing how you will support yourself while your venture gets off of the ground. The 500k Baht that they want to see you have in a bank account isn't really meant to be the thing you live off of.
