A friends  needs to renew Retirement visa in Hua Hin ,do you need to show health insurance cover ,seems to think you might have to after 31 st Oct.Many thanks for help.

If he's been on extensions a while and his original visa isn't in this passport he can tell by looking at the stamp transfer page in his new passport. They look like this

If your friend is unable to tell whether he started his 'retirement visas" with an O-A visa or an O visa I'd say the easy answer is to have your 'friend' wander on in to either thai immigration office down in Hua Hin (the main one or Blu-Port Mall) BEFORE he needs to get a new yearly extension and check with them..

It all depeds on what you or your friend like to call a retirement visa. There are 3 different visa's and an Extenion of Stay called retirement visa and to give the correct advice, we need to know the official name of what is stamped inside the passport. Or post a picture without personal details if you do not know the names
