DTV requirements

So for the DTV visa requirements do you have to be consistently enrolled in a training course/programme the whole 5 years of the visa life, or is it acceptable to enrol in a 6 month course, then maybe take 6 months or so off before enrolling in another course?

TLDR : Answer Summary
For the DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) in Thailand, you need to enroll in an approved training program for at least six months to qualify for the visa. However, once you obtain the DTV visa, it is not mandatory to remain consistently enrolled in a course for the full five years. You can take breaks between courses after the initial six-month requirement is fulfilled. The visa allows for a multi-entry status and permits stays of up to 180 days per visit.

You will need to book a course from an approved venue for at least 6 months, the venue will then give you the supporting documents you need to apply. Once you have your visa then its in your hands as to whether you continue past the 6 months course, you now have a 5 year multi entry visa able to stay 180 days per visit

You will need something booked for at least 6 months to get the DTV but after it is approved it is up to you if you want to continue beyond 6 months. The only time it might be checked would be if you applied for an extension which very few do as they usually leave before 180 days and re-entering.

I would go for a bit longer than 6 months if you can to avoid being given a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa
