Do any U.S. Expats have experience using the Schwab Bank Investor Checking account and getting ATM fees reimbursed? I was wondering if ATMs around Pattaya and Bangkok charge any fees that AREN'T reimbursed by Schwab.  I know about the dynamic currency conversion issue and how to avoid that, but does any U.S. Expat have some names of Thai ATMs to use or avoid?  Thanks.

I've used Bangkok Bank on Beach Road Pattaya near the Baywalk Residence all fees reimbursed.

Been using them for over 5 years. Don't let the atm do the exchange. I use to monitor it against wise and with the refunds of fees I always come out ahead. One thing is I can only pull $1000 a day so that can sometimes be a pain to go over multiple days

Yes, use it regularly. My fees are returned next day when the withdrawal hits my account.

Bob D'Andrea some ATMs ask if you want the bank of the ATM to do the conversion and if you look at it you can see it's obviously a waste of your money. Just decline that and the conversion is done by your home bank at a decent rate

Fidelity does the same and I have always been reimbursed in full for my ATM fees.

Pretty much any ATM that uses Mastercard or Visa will take your Schwab debit card. All ATM fees are reimbursed once a month.
