Hello. I'm thinking to apply Non-O retirement visa with 800K method next year and my question is:

Q. I already have 800K in Thai Bank because i've been lived in chiangmai for 5 years with different visa.( Current visa will be expire next year)

Does Immigration require that 800K must be transfer from oversea( International transfer)? OR, as long as you have 800k in the thai bank, they will approve Non-O retirement visa??

hey all! I have a tourist visa (not exemption, visa), that expires december 22. How early can I go to the immigration office for an extension request?

Like, can I do it 10 days before the expiration date? even 15?

(I'm in Chiang Mai)

Thank you all!

Hello, I came to Thailand on TR single entry visa in July 2021. They gave me 60 days on arrival. Then I didn't have papers from my landlord on time and had to pay a fine for two days of overstaying until I sorted them out. They gave me a 1-month extension to see if it was only one time-mistake. Then I had 3 Covid Extensions - 2 months each. Now my last extension allows me to stay till 18th April.

What are my options to stay in Thailand?

Will they give me some time if I will go on 18th to Immigration Office in Chiang Mai?

I am moving to Chiang Mai from Koh Phangan, so I don't know how the immigration office works there. Here they know me and my case.

Or maybe I should already prepare myself to do the border jump and acquire a new visa when entering again? Is it going to be problematic?

I was told that there is an immigration office close to Pai Thailand where you can get an extension on your original 30-day tourist visit. Is anyone familiar with this office? If not, is there one in Chiang Mai? Thank you in advance!!!

Is it correct that that stamp you get when you enter the country that allows you to stay for 30 days is called visa exempt? And is it also correct that you can extend it by another 30 days (for 1'900 Thb) at any immigration office (for example at Chiang Mai)?

I'm asking because if I read about visa stuff on the website of the Thai Consulate in Switzerland, it says that if 30 days are not enough you MUST have a visa, you get in advance, valid 60 days. It's nowhere mentioned that you can extend that stamp. Do they just want to sell that very expensive visa (150 Euro) or is it really not possible to extend the stamp? Switzerland belongs to those countries that should have that possibility. Can anybody help? Thank you ๐Ÿ™‚
