TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about the necessity of a 14-day quarantine in Hat Yai. The comments seek clarification on various details such as vaccination status, duration in Thailand, and specific quarantine protocols (home quarantine versus hospital quarantine). There are also suggestions to refer to community resources for more information.

More and more village heads are going to implement it.

not surprising as there are provinces, cities and villages which have their own restrictions.

This is nothing new. Has been happening in many areas of Thailand since mid 2020.

And now with Omicron variant we will likely see more of the at home quarantines in Thailand as you are seeing now.

Just yesterday in Chiang Mai two foreigners which had entered Thailand via Test N Go one night then flew to Chiang Mai have now tested positive Omicron COVID.

Thats likely why we will see more of what you are experiencing today.

How long have you been in thailand?

there have been many cases where the village headman, will insist upon it, you can argue all you want but as many people here know its not in your interest to do so.

The pass is for the hole off thailand. No quarantaine. Or they changed it again or they want to ripp you off. Maybe look on the official government site
