Hello,

I see a lot of contradictory information on traveling between provinces.

So my question is: do I need to quarantine if I travel from Bangkok to Chiang Mai.

Thank you!

You have to inform the authorities in Chang Mia when you arrive and it's likely you will need to self quarantine for two weeks.

if your coming from a dark red zone check with the authorities in Chang Mia. You can do it at home. My sister in law's daughter just came back from Bangkok and it's three tests and a sign up on your house.

your local tessiban would know. If you don't report it's a big fine I believe. Can you find any health authority in Bangkok that can advise?

I'll end my ASQ on Oct 10th and would like to fly directly to CM. What drive me crazy is that they might ask me to quarantine another 14 days after my quarantine. That's crazy

when you get release paperwork from ASQ you can travel to any province within 72 hours though best to make it the same day.

Phuket and Samui though have different rules

Do you mean that I can travel to Chiang Mai without having to do the 14 day quarantine they require for all unvaccinated tourist (provided that I travel right after my ASQ in Bangkok)?

Where did you get that information? I've asked to people who are well informed and to the Chiang Mai airport. Both told me that I would have to quarantine..

i will dig it out later but was on tatnews.org been same though all year for anyone coming out of ASQ. Though some districts have been imposing stay at home the official line is you can make your way back with the health certificate you recieve after doing quarantine, except for now the sandbox areas

I'd be very grateful if you could find that information. I really cannot afford to do a month of quarantine ..
