Do I need to print my e-visa in color for immigration in Thailand?

Got my LTR-P visa today. FWIW, it took six weeks for the BOI cert plus another two weeks for the e-visa approval (about 8 weeks total). For unknown reason (different screen / agent), my wife's dependent LTR approval was much faster, three weeks for BOI.

Question: I believe I need to print the e-visa for immigration, but should it be in color? (chatGPT says color is best)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user received their LTR-P visa along with faster approval for a dependent visa. They inquired about printing the e-visa in color for immigration purposes. Comments clarified that color printing is not necessary, as only the QR code's readability matters. Additionally, it's crucial to check the visa stamp in the passport for accuracy at the immigration counter. Another user shared their experience with health insurance issues related to their own LTR-P application.

Hi Eric, I too have applied for same LTR-P and my application date is April 24. BOI won’t accept funds in Fidelity money market account so I ended up getting the health insurance. This is perhaps my last remaining issue. I submitted the health insurance yesterday. How long did they take to issue the endorsement after resolving the final issue in your application

the only thing I was asked for was a receipt for my health insurance. I provided this about a week after initial application. It took another five weeks for final BOI approval certificate, including Songkran break. My wife received hers three weeks after submission with a different officer, so it partly depends on luck (screen 1 was fast, screen 5 was slow). Good luck.

Definitely don't need color. The only thing that really matters is the QR code on the visa, and that's in black and white. Actually the only thing having the printed e-visa is for is so that the agent doesn't make a mistake and stamp you in visa exempt. But even then, after you hand them the e-visa and your passport and step away from the counter, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS check the stamp you just received in your passport and make sure it is correct. The BOI office has also emphasized this multiple times. If they give you an incorrect stamp and you don't notice, it could completely invalidate your visa.

Thanks, much appreciated, will definitely need to be careful about the stamps, I hadn't thought of that.
