I’ll be visiting the Thai Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City next month, just to confirm... I don’t need to make an appointment before hand? I can just show up, correct?
Thanks

Yes! Was just there. Just show up. Drop off in the morning. Pick up next afternoon.
If you have a history of tourist visas, extensions and exempt arrivals, border runs...be aware Thai Immigration officer upon arrival will make the decision to allow entry. Be sure to have 20,000 Thai baht or CASH equivalent with you along with booking address for your stay and departure ticket from Thailand. Good luck.

What kind of visa are you applying for? Your passport is from which country?

If for retirement in Thailand and age 50+...its possible you can convert your current stay to non-immigrant O ...see local Thai Immigration office.
