Can someone tell me do I have to have the £18,500 in my British bank account maturing for 3 months or 2 months before I apply for my non o retirement visa, the more I read on here the more I get confused, thanks everyone.
Answer summary
When applying for a Non-O retirement visa from the UK, you do not necessarily need to have the required £18,500 in your account for a certain number of months. Instead, it needs to be in your account at the time of application, with no specific 'seasoning' requirement in place for a British bank account. However, if using the monthly income method, you would need three months of bank statements showing an income equivalent to 800,000 Baht annually.

No you don't. You need to show an income for 3 months with bank statements equivalent to
*****
0tbh/year, That's about £1600 a month. Half that for a 'marriage/family' visa. £18 000 as a bank balance will do it too.
You only need to show balance in your account at time of applying no maturing needed at all 3 months is only for those without 18 500 who wish to do the monthly income route
£18,500 UK account. Apply for non-o visa. Get a copy of certificate of residency, open bank account and transfer money. 800,000 baht in your account for 2 months before applying for 1 year.
If you are applying for the 90 day Non-O visa inside the UK then you just need to show you have the funds in place at the time you apply. It's only if you use the monthly income method that you need to show 3 months
