So for Jakarta it says they typically dont interview people since evisa started on November 26, 2024. Is this true? I will be in Bali so it would be a big hassle to travel for an interview. Would they maybe do it by video call or I dont even need to worry about this. USA citizen applying for workcation. thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster inquires if U.S. citizens applying for a workcation in Bali are required to travel to Jakarta for an interview due to a new eVisa policy. Comments reveal varying experiences: some confirm the necessity of traveling for an interview, while others report approvals in Bali without needing an interview. Additionally, the processing time may vary, suggesting potential delays.
Approved in Bali with no interview in Jakarta needed. They will request further documents, and expect to be in Bali for up to 4 weeks!
Processing is slower here, they might take 2 weeks before your documents are even reviewed.
But enjoy the vacation as many Airbnb are 40% off because it’s low season! If you’ve got all your docs, you’ll be approved no problem. Safe travels! ☺️
There are people called from remote small island in the UK to get an interview in London the day later. Others applied at the neighbor embassy cuz they country doesn't have any and got asked to get there for an interview. So yes, if you are in Bali and they ask you for an interview, you gotta go to Jakarta, no matter what
