Question about the re-entry visa. I have a flight from Khon Kaen to Bangkok at 21:00 with 1Hr.30 before my next flight to Europe. I called immigration here in Khon Kaen and they said I don't need to obtain the re-entry in advance and that I can obtain it there at at the international airport even that late around 23:00. I have only found info online that dates back 2022. Does anyone have more recent info and can confirm this info is true. Thanks so much in advance.

Also I already have passport photo and form filled out...

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original question asks if a re-entry visa can be obtained late at night at the Bangkok airport after arriving from Khon Kaen, with only 90 minutes before the next flight to Europe. Comments advise obtaining the re-entry permit in advance in Khon Kaen to avoid stress and potential delays, noting that 90 minutes is too tight for international connections. Although re-entry permits are available at Bangkok airports 24/7, many commenters do not recommend relying on that timeline due to possible delays and stress.

I don't think I would risk it, 1.5 hour isn't very much time and you may have a lot riding on it.

I theory it's possible. In practice I don't recommend it. I find my opinions on such matters often differ from Thai people. My wife (and many other Thai people) have a general attitude - que sara (or it will work itself out... no reason to stress). I however, stress about stuff like this.

Better develop Plan B if you only have 1.5 hours between connections. 3 hours should be the minimum you allow. Any minor delay, a long lines at check-in, and you've missed your flight. Do your check in online to save time.

You wanna hope your flight from KK to BKK is not delayed . 1.5 hour from domestic to check in for International then immigration you pushing it brother.

Crazy you have to do that if your flying straight out that same night

90 minutes is going to be a very short amount of time if you need to check-in, get through security and also get through passport control. Adding 10-15 minutes for a re-entry permit doesn't sound like a good idea.

But re-entry permits are available

at both Bangkok airports.

I will be already checked in as I have a conecting flight from Khon Kaen. I just have to walk to immigration for the re-entry. i called immigration because I wanted to make the re entry in avdance but they said since I live 80 kilometers from their office, I can do it at the airport no problem at all and I just wanted to hear what would ppl say about that in this group. Since I'm already checked in, it seems 90 minutes will be more than enough...

Get a reentry permit at immigration in Khon Kaen in advance. So you dont have to stress. Safe Journey
