Answer summary
If you are only transiting through Bangkok and staying within the transit area, you do not need to go through Thai immigration or complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online.

If you're just transiting <- as in NOT clearing immigrations and staying in the transit area only you don't need to file a TDAC (Thailand Digital Arrival Card) online.
