Do I need to change my address on my Thai driving license when I move?
Hi all
Just got my Thai driving licence , I noticed it's got my address on it, do you have to get address changed when I move address as you do in UK
I'm hoping not , and what is involved to change address and is there a cost

I also think it depends in which province you live or area for that matter. I spent 6 years in Issan, lived KK, Surin and Ubon and never bothered. Now in Chonburi and totally the opposite.

Not really necessary....u only need to provide your latest address while renewing....infact I've been carry a thai DL with a different passport number as my new passport....waited for it to almost expire and update all at once while renewing

As promised I visited Korat immigration yesterday and had a very constructed discussion with a senior immigration officer as to the Bank statement situation
There are 2 routes you can go down please see below
1 if you update your bank book every month including the month that your visa was issued you will only need to show up to day you re apply 3 months bank statements.
2 for the full requirement of 12 months bank statements they must start from the day your existing visa was issued to the day you apply at immigration for your visa which take 6 working days you can order this from your bank upto 1 month before you apply giving the bank your application day cost 200 baht
This i know as fact as I have just ordered mine from BKb Korat very helpful and upto date on situation still need to up date passbook on that day with the obligatory 100 baht deposit
Please note this information relates Bkb only as this is where me account is held

Officially you should get a new DL with your new address on it but I don’t think that anybody cares about it and just use the new address when the DL has to be renewed.
