Hi,

Can anyone recommend an Agent in Bangkok that could help with opening a bank account when I visit next on a visa exempt entry. At a later date I will be applying for a longer term visa, but could do with a bank account in place now.

(I asked the Thai Visa Centre but they tell me they will only help if they also handle my visa application which I don't want to do yet.)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking recommendations for agents in Bangkok who can assist with opening a bank account during their visit under a visa exempt entry. They plan to apply for a longer-term visa later but require a bank account beforehand. A comment mentions that generally, a bank account can only be opened with a minimum of a 3-month visa stay.

Ok. I found it very difficult, and I was on a 1year education visa, but I guess I did do it on my own, no agents. I also had to show my long term lease contract.
