Do I need to apply for a new DTV visa after getting a new passport?
DTV Visa and New Passport
Hello everyone,
I currently have a Thai DTV visa that is still valid for another four years. However, I need to get a new passport because my current passport is about to expire.
Do I need to apply for a new DTV visa after getting my new passport, or can I still enter Thailand using the DTV visa that was issued with my old passport number, for example by showing a printed copy of the visa?
Has anyone had experience with this situation?
Thank you in advance for your help!

Answer summary
The user inquires if they need to apply for a new Thai DTV visa after getting a new passport, as their current visa is valid for four more years. Community responses indicate that it is not necessary to apply for a new DTV visa. Instead, they should keep their old passport, as it is linked to their DTV visa, and bring both the old and new passports when entering Thailand.

If you sort this group by "CHRONOLOGICAL" in the URL there's literally a post above yours of somebody who entered with a new passport and had ZERO questions at the airport. Plenty of such posts have already been made here. Just bring both passports.

This situation happens to many people and is not an unusual situation. You will need to keep your old passport as it is connected to your DTV. You do not need a new DTV. You will need to stamp out on your new passport. Please see a post from like 2 days ago about all this. :)
