Hello all, It's getting closer to my trip back to Thailand. I have just seen this new App called Thailand Plus. Do all tourists have to install it on their phones to enter Thailand?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The necessity of installing the Thailand Plus app for entering Thailand has generated mixed responses among travelers. While some travelers have mentioned that the Thai embassy instructed them to download the app, others conveyed that it's not mandatory. The app is primarily intended for health tracking, but there are alternative methods available, such as using the COSTE app during quarantine. Travelers' experiences vary based on specific hotels and circumstances, leading to uncertainty about its enforcement.
Yes, it's against Thai law not to have a mobile phone too.

It's a request to download it, this is not a law at present.

I love it when people say if you can't afford this don't go to Thailand. Well they're right. I'm not going because of not being able to afford it but because I work hard for my money and instead of allowing me a reasonable priced and non complicated vacation they've introduced complicated red tape through their embassies to enter and a very expensive quarantine followed by expensive insurance. They always come up with more ways to suck money out of people like their new STV plus vaccination scheme that they're talking about. I'll just wait until I can go there and support the their economy and people without throwing it away on an expensive hotel stay that I would never stay in pre pandemic era.
This is main road block between samat sakorn (covid central) and Nakhom Pathom, i also went through nakhom pathom to Bangkok. Same as usual either eating talking or playing on phones. I just went through four of these didnt see anybody stopped.
I havent done trat recently been as far south as prachap khiri kan and west to kanchanaburi and ratchaburi this year. Only ever seen goods vehicles pulled over
i have driven all over and road blocks are not really stopping anyone. Got to go shop in about two hours that right by main road block between samat sakorn and bangkok. Will take photo or video to show you.
I think maybe plane bus or rail travel it maybe required
Im in Bangkok till 30th and wanted to go Pattaya to renew visa and go to my bank to update things and maybe stay 3 nights as my father there but I have been told not too as they said when I come out of quarantine I have to go to my final destination which is Trat what do you think ?
Personally yes i would go straight to Trat they are already removing some restrictions in Bangkok now. IMO i dont think these lockdown measures will last so long but as with everything lately who knows
My COE number has a slash in it, which the app does not accept. And there is an entry for "reference number" which I have no idea what that is or how to find it.
