Do I need a TM30 form for my non-ED visa if my hotel has reported my address to immigration?

Good morning guys

I have a non ed visa, i have to do a 90 day report of address next week. I stay in a hotel/residence type of setup and they have always reported my address and registered me at immigration. I do not have a TM30 and i am hearing many stories that i will need one. Is this true? Tia
