Entering with DTV through Koh Samui, will they ask me for a forward flight?
Answer summary
When entering Thailand with a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) through Koh Samui, it is generally not required to present a forward flight. Many travelers report smooth entries without the need for an onward ticket. Although there might be occasional inquiries at other airports, like Bangkok, experiences suggest that Samui's immigration is quite relaxed regarding this requirement.

Samui is pretty relaxed, just make sure to show them your visa when you get to the booth, otherwise they might not ask and just assume you want 60 days
As a resident here Samui airport immigration is the most laxed I've experienced in Thailand. But I have been asked about forward flights on DTV at BKK. I usually book a cheap refundable flight and then cancel it with no issues.
Anonymous participant 237 There is no requirement for an onward flight on any visa except visa on arrival and visa-exempt. I have held a Non O marriage and now a DTV, and have never been asked for an onward flight in 20 years worth of entries. You are posting nonsense
It it not required on a DTV but who knows if they will ask. I have never ever been asked for an onward flight by Thai Immigration entering on multiple visa types and Visa Exempt.
