Do DTVs go from pending approval, to approved on weekends? If the embassy is closed weekends?
Answer summary
The discussion revolves around whether DTV (Digital Nomad Visas) applications can be approved during weekends when embassies are typically closed. Several commenters share personal experiences indicating that approvals can indeed occur on weekends, with some embassies having staff working remotely or processing applications at off-hours. While some approvals are officially updated during the weekend, it is also common that applications remain in 'Pending Approval' status until the following business day.

Sometimes, but they can also go from pending approval to document requests. Pending approval just means you've passed the initial sift
I applied at London embassy... I woke up at 7 am to find it had been approved....the email arrived at 3am so I assumed there may either be remote working (open hours) or the approval came from bkk
Yes. It seems like final emails and visas are batched so while a decision could already be made, the update / notice might come on a Saturday or Sunday
I am wondering the same thing. Currently my DTV application is in “Pending Approval” for more than 24 hours and if it doesn’t get approved during business hours today, then either it will be next Monday or hopefully over the weekend.
Some embassies do. Hanoi, for example, has quite a few examples of this. It's basically a Consular Officer clicking a button to approve at the final stage.
