Does anyone know the official current rules for children as DTV dependents, specifically from the Royal Thai Embassy London?

Two main questions:

1. 💰 Financials: Does a child under 16 need their own £11,000–£12,000 (500k THB) in a bank account with 3 months history   OR can they be covered by the main applicant's funds + a sponsorship letter?

2. 📋 Police Check: Does a 15-year-old need to submit an ACRO police clearance certificate under the new rules starting 31 August 2026?

We have the main applicant's funds + spouse's funds ready, but getting conflicting answers about whether the child needs their own separate £12k pot  and whether sponsorship letters are actually accepted for dependents. Also unclear if under-16s are exempt from the criminal record check requirement.

Us as parents do have the equivalent   of  the money in  what they say but speaking  to a legal firm say the child also  has to have 500.000thb too but in the main applicant's   account so all together  would be £36k  can't do a sponsorship  letter even know the thai embassy  states you can have sponsorship  letter.

To answer question 1 for a child dependent: I provided everything they requested in the initial application and then sent it again when they asked for it again (make it make sense). But at least this is their official wording....

"Financial evidence: an amount of no less than 500,000 THB, (e.g., bank statements for the last three months, sponsor letter): Your parent's Personal UK/Ireland bank statement show their name, UK/Ireland address , minimum closing balance of 11,000 GBP last 15 days , held at least 10 days. Recommend to provide in full pdf file download from Bank App or printed out from branch".

I would also add a sponsorship letter to join it all together.
