I have searched, but can not find the answer.

American. I would like the visa exempt, as i have gotten in the past.

I may be confused, but do i need to some how electronically inform Thai immigration that i plan to arrive? I thought i read someplace somethibg more was involved than just showing up.

Can i just fly into bkk as i have years gone by?

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
An American citizen can still travel to Thailand without a visa, as the visa exemption is applicable for stays up to 60 days, subject to approval by immigration officers. Recent discussions indicate confusion about an electronic pre-arrival notification requirement, which was postponed, and the new Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) is expected to be introduced by mid-2025, but no immediate actions are required for travelers arriving now.
