TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can open a term deposit account in Thailand; however, it is essential for the funds to be readily accessible for immigration purposes, even though this may result in lower interest earnings. Various comments highlight the importance of ensuring the deposit amount exceeds minimum thresholds to avoid bank charges and complications with visa requirements.

Thailand does have term deposits but from an immigration perspective you need to be sure that your money is instantly accessible even if that means you lose interest if accessed

Be dillegent about managing your deposit, bank charges often exceed interest and you can easilly slip below the threshold minimum deposit!

Deposit more than the minimim to avoid any surprises

I have one, but you need to check with your immigration if they accept it.
