Hello, My wife and I will be traveling to Thailand with our U. S. Passports. We have our forward on airplane tickets, however they are for 37 days after our arrival.

Can we enter Thailand with this forward on ticket and apply for an extension while we are in Thailand or should we just apply now for a 60 day tourist visa.

Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers with U.S. passports can enter Thailand with a one-way ticket but should consider applying for a 60-day tourist visa before arrival to avoid potential entry issues. While it is possible to enter Thailand and apply for a visa extension, it's generally advisable to have a clear return or onward travel plan.
